Product Description
This particular Lonely Stone is an especially beautiful example of fine white nephrite with natural concentrated orange skin. The jade body is remarkably white and pure, with a soft, warm whiteness which is called Mutton Fat White. Its texture is exceptionally fine and compact, giving the surface a smooth, almost creamy visual quality. The luster is rich and naturally oily, but beautifully restrained—exactly the kind of subtle glow that becomes more apparent the longer you look at it. At both ends of the stone, nature has left areas of warm orange skin, naturally concentrated along the edges of the white jade body. The contrast is particularly elegant: pure white jade meeting a warm golden-orange skin, with the transition following the original contours of the pebble. The skin is completely natural and forms part of the stone's original outer surface. It is this kind of understated natural detail that gives a Lonely Stone its individuality—no two stones can ever reproduce exactly the same combination of white jade, skin, shape, and pattern.
The proportions and overall form of this stone are also exceptionally attractive. It has a beautifully rounded, balanced silhouette with a substantial yet elegant presence in the hand. There is very little that needs to be added to such a stone. It already possesses the qualities collectors look for in a high-grade single-seed nephrite: fine white jade, exceptionally delicate texture, naturally rich oily luster, beautiful form, and distinctive natural skin.
At approximately 7.3 grams, this is the type of Lonely Stone that can be appreciated first as a collector’s stone and later transformed into a fine piece of jewelry. It would be particularly beautiful assembled with other stones of similar quality and size to create a high-end lonely stone bracelet. Alternatively, its compact and elegant form makes it highly suitable for a substantial gold setting as a ring or a pendant resting at the collarbone. The choice can be left to the collector—the stone itself is already the centerpiece. Pieces of this quality are generally valued by weight rather than simply by their appearance as finished jewelry. For exceptional Xinjiang Hetian single-seed nephrite of this grade, market pricing can reach approximately RMB 20,000 per gram, depending on the exact quality, whiteness, texture, luster, skin, and overall form.
